Online Assessment Services
Flannes & Associates has the capability to offer online assessments services that can be used with individuals as well as project teams or ongoing management teams.
The assessment tools that are available for online administration are tools that measure important variables such:
Personality and personal style
- Career interests
- Team role identification
- Leadership competencies
We use these assessments selectively, only when in service of the client’s goals and needs.
For individuals, the online assessment services often help individuals answer questions such as:
- What are my true workplace interests and values?
- What are my strengths and challenges when I am in leadership roles?
- What are 2-3 leadership skills that I should be working on?
- What are my communication strengths and shortcomings?
- How would I define my decision-making style?
- Are there different approaches I can use to resolve conflicts at work?
- What is the best role for me to play in an organization?
- How can I determine a new career direction, or revive my stalled career?
- How can I create a “vocabulary” to use when I am trying to present my special attributes during interviews?
- How can I work more effectively with a problematic peer, direct report, or manager?
For teams (either project teams or existing, ongoing teams), the online assessment process is helpful in answering questions such as:
- What are some new approaches this team can use to better resolve conflict?
- What are the interpersonal and personality strengths and weaknesses of this team?
- What are the functional biases of this team? Operations, here-and-now focus, or a strategic, future orientation?
- What are the types of business challenges or issues that will be most problematical for this team?
- How can this team create a greater sense of team unity to reduce the risk of turnover or mediocre performance?
- What types of different individuals should be added to this time?
Assessment Process and Philosophy
Client needs are discussed, and the best instruments are selected. Following the completion and scoring of the assessments, we meet with the client for detailed and very interactive sessions.
The key word here is “interactive,” as it is our experience that the client receives the most benefit to assessment processes when he or she thinks out loud in real time to address implications and next steps. This creates an active leaning experience, as compared to many assessment experiences that are too passive in nature.
The client receives a detailed assessment results booklet, along with interpretive materials and suggestions for developmental steps. Sometimes, the client chooses to begin working with us on the developmental steps via a coaching process. Other times, the client prefers to take the assessment results and begin the developmental piece of the process on their own.
Individual privacy regarding assessment results is maintained.
